For those passionate about wildlife and animals, this expedition through Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi & Tanzania is a dream come true. You’ll have the chance to spot incredible creatures like rhinos, lions, wildebeests, hyenas, buffalos, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, aardvarks and bush babies and a diverse array of birds.

Starting in Maun (Botswana), we swiftly cross into Zimbabwe, journeying through Hwange Park on our way to the magnificent Victoria Falls —the most impressive waterfall in the world. Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest reserve, is a must-visit for safari enthusiasts, featuring the Big Five and a remarkable variety of mammals. Following a visit to the Victoria Falls, we explore the town of Livingstone (named after the person who discovered the Victoria Falls) . Our adventure continues through Zambia’s National Parks, offering a unique night safari experience.

We’ll venture into Mana Pools with its remarkable elephant population. This unique wildlife haven offers the opportunity to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. But that’s not all! We’ll spend a night at an exclusive private camp within the Mana Pools game park. In this secluded haven, our group will be the privileged guests, sharing the space only with elephants and other wildlife.

Passing cotton and tobacco plantations, we head to the picturesque shores of Lake Malawi, known for its clear waters and vibrant underwater life. August to December provides optimal visibility for discovering Malawi’s famous cichlid fish. After our visit to Lake Malawi, our journey takes us northward through the picturesque Malawi highlands, providing stunning vistas overlooking the lake. As we ascend from the lower altitudes of Malawi to the higher elevations of Tanzania, the landscape undergoes a remarkable change, unfolding from tropical banana plantations to a swiftly transforming panorama of verdant fields and majestic pine trees.

The Ngorongoro Crater is an enormous caldera, shaped over millions of years, is like a giant amphitheater filled with diverse wildlife. The floor of the crater forms a unique environment where you can encounter many animals, including the famous Big Five. As we travel along the crater’s edge and descend inside, you’ll experience a unique combination of landscapes and wildlife. And of course, our expedition wouldn’t be complete without a stop on the Serengeti Plain. Renowned for the great wildebeest migration, considered the largest animal migration globally. Each year, over 2 million animals, including wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, embark on a clockwise journey across the ecosystems of the Serengeti (Tanzania) and the Masai Mara (Kenya). We offer a unique experience in the Serengeti. Picture this: secluded camping spots within the wildpark— small private game campsites where it’s just you and your Bliss Mobil in the heart of nature, surrounded by wildlife. This night will make your journey even more unforgettable! The Masai Mara Nature Reserve is the next stop before setting sail for our final destination: the African metropolis of Nairobi.

Tip! There is also a Namibia & Botswana expedition (LEG 1) that precedes this expedition. Although you can book both expeditions separately, we recommend you participate in both to get the most out of your Africa experience. After the first expedition we can arrange the storage of your vehicle (price on request). The vehicle will then be stored in a secured area close to the finish of the Namibia & Botswana expedition. Since we are also starting this follow-up expedition there, you can get back on board in September and enjoy this expedition (LEG 2) without having to ship the truck again.

Transport & storage

Transport of your Bliss Mobil to the starting location of this expedition can of course be arranged, but is not included in the price of the trip. The price for shipping is based on open calculation. If you want to participate in both the Namibia & Botswana expedition (LEG 1) and this Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi & Tanzania expedition (LEG 2) we can arrange storage (price on calculation). This way you can just board again and continue your journey in September 2025.
