Van daar trekken we landinwaarts, door het hart van Colombia\u2019s beroemde koffieplantages, met onderweg gezellige dorpjes om te verkennen. In Medell\u00edn ontdekken we hoe deze stad zich van een onrustige geschiedenis heeft getransformeerd tot een bruisend centrum van cultuur en innovatie.<br \/>\nGeschiedenisliefhebbers zullen genieten van San Agust\u00edn, met de grootste collectie precolumbiaanse beelden van Zuid-Amerika. Daarna voert de route ons de groene diepten van het Amazonewoud in, vol geluiden, kleuren en wildlife. Overal onderweg hoor je muziek: het ritme van salsa door de Colombiaanse straten of lokale deuntjes in kleine stadjes.<br \/>\nNaarmate we verder naar het zuiden rijden, verschijnen de eerste bergkammen van de Andes. We klimmen geleidelijk omhoog en nemen altijd de tijd om aan de hoogte te wennen, zodat iedereen comfortabel kan reizen. Uiteindelijk steken we de evenaar over en komen we in Peru: een land van alpaca\u2019s, spectaculaire berglandschappen en een wereldberoemde keuken. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Onze expeditie eindigt in Cusco, de voormalige hoofdstad van het Inca-rijk, gelegen op 3.400 meter hoogte. Zo\u2019n hoogte kan even wennen zijn, maar door geleidelijk te klimmen en af te dalen geven we ons lichaam de tijd om zich aan te passen en volop van de reis te genieten. Cusco bruist van geschiedenis, kleurrijke markten en koloniale charme, en vormt de perfecte toegangspoort tot een van de hoogtepunten van de expeditie: Machu Picchu.<br \/>\nVerborgen in de Andes op 2.430 meter hoogte, is deze legendarische Inca-citadel zowel letterlijk als figuurlijk het hoogtepunt van de reis. Boek de vervolg-expedities van Cusco naar Santiago en van Santiago naar Ushuaia. Indien gewenst kunnen wij de stalling van je voertuig regelen (prijs op aanvraag). Het voertuig wordt vervolgens gestald op een veilige plek. Aangezien we daar ook de vervolgexpeditie starten, kun je in augustus weer instappen en genieten van de volgende expeditie zonder dat je je 4&#215;4 hoeft te verschepen. Houd er rekening mee dat je de expedities afzonderlijk kunt boeken, maar ook in combinatie.
